I, for one, would not know.
No one is normal, unless we redefine normal. There are those who hide what they feel doesn’t fit or would not be readily accepted. We all hide parts of ourselves because we believe that those parts, if expressed and exposed, will get us cast off and/or whispered about. I think that it’s only possible to know who seems normal. The rest is up for grabs.

When my brother quit smoking (and drinking booze and drinking coffee, but not all at once), he went around with an unlit cig in his hand/mouth for a while.
